I am dissapointed to hear so much bad press about Mirrors Edge - Granted it’s a platformer and I hate platformers, granted you fall to your death alot (it is a platformer) and grnted sometimes it throws you into combat when at other times it tells you to avoid it.
Let me tackle these issues…
It’s a platformer
I hate platformers but surprisingly I don’t hate Mirrors Edge in fact I quite enjoy it, it gives me the feeling of being in a Jason bourne film (play the bourne supremacy game, it’s awful).
I have experienced no major clipping issues and quite enjoy the first person aspect of it.
It throws you into combat
Many people complaign about this, but I think they forget the early advice, single them out and take them down individually, or if you are great, skip them all together!
It’s too short
Great, as Yahtze said with portal “it goes away before it becomes unwelcome”, at full price I might feel ripped off but all the games shops have been begging you to buy it for £20. - Hey maybe I helped save a few jobs at EA.
PC Version
I hear the PC version will have better graphics… typical!

I am dissapointed to see that there is no Mirrors Edge demo for PC, at least not one I could find. And I just got a new Logitech G15 gaming keyboard for my birthday… Oh well!!!

Would be so much more fun if the boys stopped playing as Zoey, or if valve added more female characters.
Come on valve, it’s not like you are politically correct, we don’t have a black woman, a m2f transsexual, a f2m transsexual, any asian people and so on…
It’s a great game, but more characters are deffinately needed.

It’s been rather a long time since I posted anything on here. I’d like to blame it all on the recent death of my much loved Elite but sadly that can probably only account for 70% of the reason. Oh yes, that’s right my xbox kicked it a few weeks ago with the lovely RROD (red rings of death for the uninitiated). 
It all started with me getting a random error code and ONE red light which progressed onto all 3. This isn’t going to be some xbox bashing post by the way, as I love my 360…I just DO wish Microsoft would sort out their consoles. I was alot more pissed off beforehand of course (there may have even been ranting) as this is actually my 2nd and I’ve only owned my 360 for just over a year - my first one was dead 5mins out of the box. And no I didn’t dump it in a vat of acid and then microwave it (for those people out there who like to insist RROD is all the users own fault), it was just faulty and bad luck for me. The first time was a lot easier to sort out though since I’d only owned it for about 6 hours so the retailer exchanged it for a new one the next day. Read More »

DSi is the third in the Nintendo ds series, to be released later this year in Japan and Spring 09 in Europe. I had a look at what it will add to the ds.

While on my search for half-life 2 mods to keep me entertained, I came across the highly acclaimed Goldeneye mod. Having installed it and it’s patch (after finding a download mirror that works, does not make me register or does not hide the download button under a poker advert) I got to playing.
